CD Projekt RED has issued an apology for the inclusion of anti-Russian dialogue and images featured in the Ukrainian localisation of Cyberpunk 2077, revealing they were placed their without the company’s permissions and will be removed in a future update.
This particular version of the game was included in the Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 last week, and implemented commentary on Russian’s invasion of Ukraine. In one example, the police comment, “Couldn’t all this rusnia bite it out in the Badlands,” replacing the original dialogue of “Couldn’t all these assholes bite it out in the Badlands?”
Another piece of dialogue has been changed in the Ukrainian version that says “Go f*ck yourself in the same direction as the ship did,” referencing the response to Russia’s demand that Ukraine’s Snake Island be surrendered.

Posting on the Russian social networks VK and Telegram, CDPR issued the following statement:
The Ukrainian localization of Cyberpunk 2077 contains several remarks that could offend some Russian players. These remarks were not written by CD Projekt Red employees and do not represent our views. We are working to fix them and replace them in the next update. We apologize for this situation and are taking steps to ensure it does not happen again.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
