With Hogwarts Legacy having launched, the next most-anticipated game for 2023 is no doubt Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Just in, IGN has dropped a video giving us a first impression of Survivor with a hand-on video preview. Check this out:
The game really looks to improve on all the short-comings of Fallen Order, with a new way to traverse the map, and players being able to set markers for locations they have yet to discover.
Just like Bogano from the first game, we’re also getting a new ‘home planet’ for Cal in Survivor in the form of Cobo (?). The map looks to be pretty extensive, and Cal even has the ability to train animals to help him traverse the location faster.
Of course, combat is also one of the biggest things about the game, and the hands-on preview does confirm that we can do more things with the Force besides push, pull, and ‘slow’. With Fallen Order only giving us two stances in the single-blade stance and the double-blade stance (with occasional dual-wield moves), Survivor is said to be giving us a total of five, with an established dual-wield stance, a crossguard stance, and one non-Jedi stance called the blaster stance which will have Cal using his saber alongside a long-range blaster.
With the game set to come out in April, hopefully we get a new trailer soon, with a look at all the returning characters.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to release for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 on April 28.
