Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has topped the UK Charts ahead of Nintendo’s Super Mario Wonder, becoming the fourth biggest boxed launch of the year behind The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, EA Sports FC 24, and Hogwarts Legacy.
In terms of launch sales, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 recorded 20% fewer copies sold than fellow first-party title God of War Ragnarok back in November 2022. It’s important note however that these figures do not take into account digital sales.

Developer Insomniac Games recently said that a spin-off game featuring Venom is possible, but noted the studio is “gonna wait to see how the fans react” to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In addition, the developer revealed that it is planning to release a New Game Plus and mission replay feature in a future update, although a date has not been confirmed yet.
