PlayStation 5 exclusive Stellar Blade is designed so “everyone can enjoy the action,” thanks to its “challenging yet fun” difficulty. It also encourages players keep tabs on the enemies’ movements and attack patterns.
In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, Shift Up founder Kim Hyung Tae and technical director Lee Dong Gi sat down to discuss the hotly anticipated action adventure. It seems the game defaults to a normal setting with an easier “Story Mode” available on the fly. This mode will slow enemies down, letting you observe your adversary’s movements and attack patterns.
“The difficulty is set to be challenging to a reasonable extent. As such, players might find themselves needing to go back to defeat bosses. The difficulty can be adjusted during the game, so I encourage players to challenge themselves at a difficulty level they feel comfortable playing. For novice action game players, there is an Action Assist in the Story Mode that I highly recommend they take advantage of.”
The game hits shelves on April 26 with a new game+ mode heading out alongside new outfits for Eve post-launch.
