Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle will be forced to shut down as of January 23, 2023, after it was unable to renew the license to use the Friday The 13th franchise.
“Today we must make a sad announcement,” developer Blue Wizard Digital began in its statement. “Due to the inability to renew the license for Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle with the licensors, we have been required to wind down future sales of the game.
As of January 23, 2023, Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle [will] be removed from the storefronts across all platforms. The game will be coming down from all storefronts (Steam, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Nintendo Switch eShop, Xbox One Store, and PlayStation Store) on January 23, 2023.
Once the deadline dates have passed, the game and DLC will be unavailable from the storefronts.”
This doesn’t mean that the game is going away forever for those who already own it, at least.
“We have been assured by all platforms that players who already have downloaded / purchased the game and made in-app purchases within the game will continue to have access to this content.”
At least the game will still be available for those who already own it, and if you don’t, then you only have until January 23, 2023 to get it before its gone.
